Dana Beene, Assistant Principal

Welcome to Achille High School!  My name is Dana (Dempsey) Beene and I am the Achille Assistant Principal.  I am a graduate of Hobart High School and the University of Oklahoma. I am in my ninth year as an Achille Principal.  In the past nineteen years I have been a math teacher, counselor, and principal.  I have been named Teacher of the Year twice and been nominated for Bryan County Administrator of the Year twice. My seven years as High School Principal were very special as we saw a complete positive turn around academically and in every other way.

I have been blessed with four sons (Nick, Alex, Nathan, and Austin).  They have been the most rewarding experience in my personal life and my tenure as Achille High School Principal has been my most rewarding professional experience. Our Achille students are second to none!  We have scored an “A” on the Oklahoma State Report card four of the last six years.  We were also recently named a High Performance School again.  Our Achille students have completely turned our school around to a positive environment!  A big part of our sucess is our incredible staff.  They are supportative of our students and each other. Our faculty and staff works hard and we have had very little turnover in recent years. This speaks well of our students’ behavior and school morale.

I gain my strenth and confidence through my Christian faith.  My time is spent with God, family, and work.  My favorite hobby is reading. I really enjoy working for Achille Schools and am grateful for the opportunity that I have been given to work here.
